POPUP PLAYS
The journey from page to stage is a long one, and Saga Seed Theatre is happy to support writers in bringing their works-in-progress to the next stage. We were thrilled to be able to showcase 6 emerging playwrights at Centre 42's Late Night Texting event, as part of the 2016 Singapore Night Festival. Directed by Associate Director Thong Pei Qin and featuring an ensemble of four dynamic actors (Deonn Yang, Ric Liu, Tim Nga and Zelda Tatiana Ng), our Seedy Stories were a great hit with audiences, who braved the heat and humidity to hang out with us.
Through our POPup Play Readings, we have also been able to showcase an evening of monologues by Dora Tan, Faith Ng and Marcia Vanderstraaten, as well as a dramatised reading of A Beautiful Companion: Revisited by Tan Suet Lee. These readings were kindly hosted by Booktique Where Writers Shop at Citylink Mall.
